I usually put my water bottle, half full, in the freezer and then, come morning, I top it off with cold water and am good to go. My water stays icy cold up to 3-4 hours, if I'm in hot weather but around the house, its stayed icy for most of the day. I love how I can hook it to my backpack, bike handlebar or wherever you need to hook it up. I have another Built NY bottle tote that's four years old, which I still use, but loved the "cuteness" of the summer bloom pattern- it's a bright, sunny yellow on the inside, a nice sharp contrast to that black and white patten. I can't recommend this item enough.
