8 Inch Filtersorb SP3 No Salt (Salt Free or Saltless) Water Softener Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)this water conditioner works great! I have not had it long so will write back in a month or so but we love it... right off notice a difference in the smell of our water...and each glass of water got a lot better in taste smell & looked more clear, I know we have a lot of scale in our system so it will take time to cut that down. We also have had a reverse Osmosis under our sink for a long time and it made an awesome difference in that right away and we thought the Osmosis was good before! now it rocks. We cleaned the scale of our Ice maker/water dispenser before installing & it is no longer leaving that awful stain...as far as installation it was good as long as you know what you are doing, otherwise get a plumber. Also, they respond quickly to emails. I had posted that I had not had a response to a question about filters and THEN noticed an email response that I had missed and they helped... so if I could edit that I would! good company.

"Environmentally Friendly" Filtersorb SP3 No Salt (Salt Free or Saltless) Water Softener with No BackwashingThere are two motivating reasons to desire a water softener. One reason is to protect household plumbing. When hard water is heated soluable calcium bicarbonate will precipitate to calcium carbonate. This scale creates substantial amounts of energy inefficiency and water pressure reduction. The other reason is because soft water is aesthetically desirous. Soft water is ideal for cleaning, bathing and laundering. It is vital to understand that the Filtersorb SP3 is an up flow water conditioner. The catalytic precipitation process will only effectively work if the media lifts as the water passes through. Therefore it is essential the system NOT BE OVERSIZED. Be advised bigger is not necessarily better. Thus an 8 inch diameter tank is highly recommended for most typical household applications. This will treat up to 9.5 gallons per minute. Use the larger 9 inch diameter tank if flow rates are to exceed 9.5 gallons per minute. To further enhance up flow efficiency we employ the Enpress Vortec distributor plate. This provides uniform distribution of the water which lifts the filter media optimizing the precipitation reaction.Specifications:8" x 44" Fiberglass Mineral Tank with 3/4" or 1" Connections and Bypass 20 GPM 5 Micron Dirt / Sediment Pre-filter with Cartridge and Mounting Bracket 100 Grain Hardness Capability with 9.5 GPM Flow Rates Benefits:"Very Green" Environmentally Friendly No Recurring Salt or Potassium Costs Healthful Calcium Magnesium Content Not Removed Ideal for Reverse Osmosis Pre-Treatment (Whole House of Point of Use) PWF Filtersorb Installation and Owners ManualMore On Salt Free Water Softening
