(More customer reviews)We've had this refrigerator for for about 4 months and it's driving me crazy! There is a loud fan/motor that comes on frequently to shuttle cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator compartment and it makes quite a racket. We can hear the noise from more than 20 feet away even when watching TV. It's so loud we thought it was broken so had the Whirlpool tech come out for service. He said there's nothing wrong and that's just how it is supposed to work. We've had guests comment on the sound wondering if there was a problem with our "new" refrigerator!
There's also a loud buzzing noise made whenver you use the ice or water dispenser and the same noise happens when it automatically refills the icemaker or water reservoir. I would inquire about this desing on any of the Whirlpool models and definitely not buy this or any other model with similar design.
