We graduated from a Zojirushi "vacuum" pot where you have to press on the top to dispense. At first I thought the electronic dispensing was gimmicky but WOW- it really is worth it. Three temp settings (208F, 180F, 140F) are nice as is the temp readout so you know when the water is almost ready.
Like our old one, there is a water level indicator on the outside so you can tell how much is left without opening it up.
I wonder if the insulation is as good as our old one as it seems a little warmer on the outside - more likely is that our old one didn't go up to 208F.
Personally I would have liked a different appearance. Plain white perhaps or silver / stainless. That's the closest I have to a complaint.
Useful tip: The top comes off and the contents empty easily into a pot - a feature I often use to "kick start" a batch of pasta, etc.
Cleaning tip: to descale, you can save a lot of vinegar by putting a mason jar or other heat resistant jar inside (Think about how putting a brick in a toilet saves water) This way you still get the depth of vinegar but use a lot of it.

Perfect for serving hot beverages to a crowd, this electric dispensing pot provides up to 101 ounces of hot water for instant coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and more. The unit features a micro-computerized temperature-control system and multiple keep-warm temperature settings that include 140, 195, and 208 degrees F. Simple one-touch controls supply a reboil button, which reboils water to 212 degrees F; a dispense button; a dispenser lock-release key; and temperature- and timer-setting buttons. The dispenser's energy-saving timer function--from 6 to 10 hours--automatically turns on the boiler at a later time to save electricity, and its LCD display shows the actual water temperature at all times, as well as the temperature and timer settings. Other highlights include automatic safety shut-off for peace of mind, a see-through water-level gauge, a removable magnetic 2-8/9-foot power cord, a swivel base and carry handle for convenience, and an easy-to-clean nonstick interior. The 800-watt dispensing pot measures 11 by 8-1/2 by 11-1/5 inches.
