(More customer reviews)I got this thermal lunch jar tote as a Christmas gift last year. I have to say, that after testing it for almost 1 year, it has really paid off!! I prefer hot lunches and food stays HOT !!! You have to preheat all the containers by filling it with boiling water, and the jar itself with boiling water. Close all lids. It should preheat for at least 10 minutes. I usually take 15 - 20 minutes making my lunch, so the soup/stew, rice, vegetables etc. are all piping hot. Then I dump all the water, dry the containers, and start filling them, and stacking them in the correct order.
With preheating, my food stays HOT. Many times this year, I didn't get to eat lunch until 2:30 or 3pm. The food was definitely hot (still had steam coming out of it). The very top container, is not steaming hot, but is warm (which means it's perfect for fruit or veggies or snacks). The other 3 containers are hot.
I find this comparable to Mr. Bento from Zojirushi. And they both hold about the same amount of food. The difference?
Mr. Bento comes with chopsticks and a large lunch sak to carry the thermos lunch. The Nissan Stainless lunch tote comes with a spoon in the holder, and it has carrying straps, but no lunch sak to put in as a carrier. Sometimes having a lunch sak to carry it is nice.
I found one of those draw string backpack at Target for $3, and it works really nicely as a lunch bag. It fits the Nissan Thermos wide mouth lunch tote, an extra set of chopsticks, napkins, and another small ziploc container of fruit for dessert.
I do not recommend dairy products. You may get food poisoning by packing dairy items, and spoiled dairy smell is always hard to get out of plastic containers.
All in all, 5 stars! I'm so happy I have 2 sets of lunch jar totes!

Coleman 1/2 - Gallon Jug Review

(More customer reviews)I play ultimate frisbee in Summer in Texas. Temperatures regularly get over 100 degrees F. No shade anywhere. The feeling of flipping open cold water to drink and pour on the head is just great. I use it as an oversized individual water bottle, not as a pitcher for pouring into cups. This bottle is durable, easy to use, fairly insulated, holds just the right amount, and has a nice handle to pick it up by.
One downside is that sometimes the lid can be a bit tricky to get screwed on water tight. If you don't fasten it correctly some liquid will dribble out the seam in the lid while pouring. Once you get the hang of it it provides a tight seal, but it should be more effortless.
The pour spout also comes loose from time to time and has to be pushed back into place or else it will dribble where the spout joins the lid. This is really simple to do, but it would be nice if it didn't ever come loose.

MiGo 0.5L Senja Bottle Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned this thermos for about one week, and for that week I was decently satisfied with it. It kept my tea hot for hours on end, and was spill proof when completely sealed.
This thermos (as stated by the product description) has a screw top cup and another screw top pouring mechanism that is controlled with a little button. You press the button to open the pouring mechanism and push a little plastic bit on the side to close the mechanism (and the button on top pops back up).
As I said before, it was completely spill proof when it was 'completely sealed,' however, it would drip from the bottom of the pouring screw top whenever I had it open and poured. It was an issue I was willing to deal with, as careful pouring would keep my pants and shirt from being stained. Unfortunately, no amount of screwing or unscrewing the pouring screw top fixed this issue.
However, it prompted me to start browsing Amazon looking for a new thermos. So, about half an hour ago, I was browsing reviews of Thermoses and drinking tea as I did so. I unscrewed my MiGo's pouring screw top to add more liquid, and I heard a disconcerting click. The pouring mechanism broke, and it is now permanently on "pour" mode. The MiGo probably knew I was looking at other Thermoses and broke itself to spite me. Anyways...
So, a week after purchasing, with regular, non-stressful use, my once 3/5 star product has become a 1/5 star product. Again, I never handled this product with any sort of roughness and the pouring mechanism broke simply from using the product the way it was intended.
I am now currently looking for another brand (or in the least, a differently designed pouring mechanism) in earnest.
I hope other purchasers have better luck.

Thermos Vacuum-Insulated 2-qt. Beverage Pot with Pump Dispenser Review

(More customer reviews)I'm a die-hard coffee drinker and have used pump pots for years. This was purchased last year and here are my thoughts:
1) Will keep coffee hot and fresh for hours. Not luke warm, but almost as hot as when first brewed. (This at the end of 8-9 hours)
2) Large push button often sticks and it's difficult to get it to release.
3) Hinged-lid is not very stable, mine broke within months. Pot still works, I use mine daily.
4) If you can find the one they make that has a lever-type pump, in my opinion, it's the greatest way to go. Not only does it pump better, but lastt longer also. Only replaced mine because I broke the liner and couldn't find a replacement at the time.
5) These are awesome for retaining heat, look nice sitting on the counter and you'll never again have to drink burnt coffee.

Keeps them cold but also provides some shock absorption if they are dropped. They look good as well. Would definitely buy more and our ten year old is angling for a striped one.
